A modding project called Project Golden Age is rebuilding Destiny 1 for PC. Bungie product head Josh Deane reacted positively to footage of the build on X.
Modders are using Project Golden Age to port the original Destiny to PC. The team is rebuilding the game by analyzing client and server requests. YouTuber Flummoxed shared footage of the project running at 4K resolution at over 60fps with a wider field of view than the consoles.
Josh Deane, Bungie's studio head of product, joked on X that the game looked pretty. This is not an official revival, and the project still has rendering and physics bugs. Read more at Eurogamer.
