One Percent Lows is a small news website. This page explains what we collect when you use it, and why. The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, and we never sell or share your data.

The newsletter

If you sign up for our emails, your email address goes to Kit, the service that sends them. We use it only to send the emails you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your address.

Visit counts

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. It tells us which pages are read, which site sent the visit, and the country, device type and browser. It doesn't tell us who you are.

Our host

The site runs on Vercel, which keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.

Emails you send us

Tips, corrections and questions sent to hello@onepercentlows.com are kept only as long as we need them to answer you.

What stays in your browser

Your light or dark choice and the topics you follow are saved in your own browser. They never reach us.

Pictures and videos from other sites

Some pictures load from other websites: game art from IGDB, stock photos from Unsplash, and photos from the news outlets we link to. As with any picture on the web, those sites see the request from your browser. Videos play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no YouTube cookies until you press play.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@onepercentlows.com. You can also complain to your country's data protection authority.
