Co-op climbing game Peak launches on PS5 October 22

Peak is coming to PlayStation 5 on October 22. The first-person climbing game is a collaboration between studios Aggro Crab and Landfall. It first launched on Steam on June 16, 2025. Aggro Crab and Landfall say the title has sold over 10 million copies. Push Square reports it has 146,500 "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam.

The game features a mountain that rotates through pre-made layouts every 24 hours. Players can play solo or in groups of up to four. The PS5 version includes all content updates, items, and four biomes. Crossplay is supported, allowing users to climb with up to three friends regardless of platform. Gameplay involves managing a stamina bar and scavenging for food to survive hazards like zombies, birds, and poison clouds. VGC reports the game uses a proximity chat system where voice volume reflects the distance between players.

A physical edition is available for pre-order at some retailers, though it lacks a release date. Push Square says the physical version includes the game disc, a sticker pack, and a digital code to gift to another player.
