TL;DR

Control Resonant has sold over 1 million copies across PC, PS5, and Xbox since launching September 24.

Remedy Entertainment announced on X that Control Resonant surpassed 1 million copies sold in three weeks. This makes it the fastest selling game in the studio's 31 year history. For comparison, PC Gamer says Alan Wake 2 took two months to hit the same milestone.

The game retails for $59.99. Alinea Analytics reports that nearly 300,000 copies were sold on Steam during the first week, generating about $12.7 million in revenue. TechPowerUp notes a Steam concurrent player peak of 42,799, which has since tapered to a 24 hour peak of 7,787.

CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon called the result a very strong start. He noted that this is the first self published release of this scale for Remedy. Push Square reports the game has performed well despite a busy release schedule.

The studio has a history of slower sales. PC Gamer reports it took Alan Wake 2 over a year and 2 million copies sold to become profitable. Remedy's Q3 business review on November 3 will provide more detail on how these sales impact the company's bottom line.
