Gigabyte is releasing BIOS updates to support upcoming Intel Raptor Lake Next CPUs on Z790, B760, and H610 motherboards.
Gigabyte announced that its entire LGA 1700 motherboard lineup now supports upcoming Intel processors. This includes both DDR4 and DDR5 models across Z790, B760, and H610 chipsets. Users will need a BIOS update to use the new chips.
Gigabyte says this allows users to upgrade without changing their platform. Wccftech reports these are Raptor Lake Next chips, which the vendor claims will launch in early 2027. Leaks suggest these CPUs may feature up to 20 cores. Other rumors from Club386 suggest a focus on budget and mid-range sectors, including a potential Core i5-14600K replacement.
