Riot shutting down League of Legends Classic in January

Riot is shutting down League of Legends Classic in January 2027. The mode launched six months ago to recreate the game as it existed before 2013. Riot says most players have already returned to other parts of League.

The current season is the last one. Riot says the mode will likely return later as an event mode with adjustments. Players will receive refunds for content that becomes obsolete. Seven champions will still be added before the closure, including Lucian and Hecarim in update 26.21. Full details are available at PC Gamer.
