Ubisoft plans to shut down the Trials developer RedLynx and lay off approximately 70 people at Ubisoft Singapore.
Ubisoft is restructuring to cut costs. The publisher says it proposes closing RedLynx in Finland because the studio has no current projects. This would affect up to 52 employees. Under Finnish law, Ubisoft must negotiate with staff before the closure is final.
Ubisoft also plans to reduce the workforce at Ubisoft Singapore to align with production needs. GameSpot reports 72 layoffs, while Push Square reports 70. The Singapore studio recently released Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. More details are available at GameSpot and Push Square.
