Section 9 Interactive released update 1.0.1.7 for End of Abyss on October 17. The patch includes a fix for the Focused achievement on Xbox. Fragment drops increase when a player has under 200 Fragments.

The update fixes a Fragment chunk duplication exploit and an issue where placing an Explosive Charge on an invalid surface could leave a player in a broken equip state. Section 9 Interactive also improved Focused Aim targeting by making the laser sight fade out. Other fixes include resolving an issue where players were thrown out of the boss room by a grab attack and stopping overlapping acid areas from dealing double damage.

The patch adds call buttons to the SCU room elevator and a lever on the other side of a locked door to prevent players from getting trapped. To prevent players from falling out of the world, explosion shockwaves no longer push inactive enemies and collision was improved to stop players from falling through the floor into B1. Loot boxes and explosive barrels now reappear upon using a Save Station.
