TL;DR
The AM4 gaming processor returns to its lowest price yet on Amazon. It runs on eight Zen 3 cores with 96MB of L3 cache.
The Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition is retailing for $339.95 on Amazon, marking a return to its lowest price point. Reports note the silicon matches the architecture of the 2022 release, packing eight Zen 3 cores, 16 threads, a 4.5GHz maximum boost clock, and 96MB of L3 cache.
The 105W processor lags behind newer options in multi-core workloads. Even so, it holds up in games. Benchmarks using a GeForce RTX 5070 in Rainbow Six Siege place the chip 7.3 percent behind the newer Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Buyers must provide an aftermarket cooler since the box supplies a thermal pad without any stock air cooling hardware.
