Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC launches October 29

Pearl Abyss announced that the Crimson Desert expansion, Charting the Unknown, will release on October 29. The DLC adds the Great Ocean of Pywel, where players can engage in shipbuilding and gather resources to customize and sail their own vessels.

The expansion introduces underwater exploration capabilities everywhere there is water. Players can use diving suits, propulsion systems, and shark mounts to find sunken ruins, treasure, and resources beneath the waves.

On land, the DLC expands housing mechanics. Players can build their homes completely from scratch, selecting how to place walls and windows. Once players liberate certain castles, they can claim those strongholds and decorate the interiors. The update also adds romance and marriage options through character relationships.

Pearl Abyss says the expansion includes a Boss Gauntlet and new enemies, though specific details on new weapons or armor have not been named. Players who pre-order the DLC will receive the Charter's Diving Set and Charter's Light Diving Set.
