Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer · official art via IGDBRudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for Nintendo Switch 2 is reportedly unplayable due to a missing download, according to Reddit user AL_KATRAZZ. The user encountered error code 2016-0070 when trying to play the game via a physical game-key card purchased at Target.
The Nintendo eShop listing for the Switch 2 version shows a download size of 82MB, even though the game released on October 16, 2026. This is significantly smaller than the approximately 2GB download for the Nintendo Switch version or the 6.35GB download for the Xbox version. AL_KATRAZZ reports that the error suggests the game files have not been uploaded to Nintendo eShop servers. This issue would also affect the digital edition of the game.
Nintendo customer support troubleshooting failed to resolve the error. AL_KATRAZZ was advised to contact the publisher, GameMill Entertainment, but reported that emails to the company bounce and comments are disabled on its official YouTube channel.
