Project;VIRAI: doomer's LIFE ESCAPE drops Steam demo and trailer

Beep Japan, RIKANIMATION, and independent developer boddiul released a new story trailer and playable Steam demo for project;VIRAI: DOOMER’s LIFE ESCAPE during The MIX Fall Showcase 2026. The developers say the psychological life simulator follows Hicha, a depressed hikikomori girl who must confront the outside world after losing access to VITA, a virtual reality platform featuring her favorite virtual idol, VIRAI.

Players shape Hicha's future through daily decisions that alter her mental state, driving toward 10 different endings. The title uses a mixed-media art style combining pixel art, anime illustrations, 3D exploration, visual novel segments, and dream sequences. Trial participants will experience visual enhancements, interface updates, error corrections, and Japanese text options. The game also participates in The MIX Steam Sale running from October 17 to 24, 2026.
