Embark Studios says PvE toggle testing in ARC Raiders has ended and more details about future plans will be revealed in November.
ARC Raiders · official art via IGDBEmbark Studios says the testing period for the PvE toggle in ARC Raiders has ended. Players completed over 30 million PvE matches during the test. The studio says the PvE toggle was a polarizing addition and no big changes are planned for the game for the time being. Instead, the team wants to focus on the title's overall wellness and fun prior to weighing major shifts.
The PvE toggle was added on October 14. In this mode, loot values are lower than in PvP, and map conditions such as Frigate and Redirection are unavailable. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal says the studio tested the mode because the group of players using non-combat servers was growing. Grøndal says some players prefer avoiding combat with other players to reduce frustration. Embark Studios says more details regarding how the team will proceed and whether PvE could become a full-time addition will be shared in November.
