Ryzen 5 5600X3D 6-core CPU returns for $219.99

More on AMDRAM and memory prices

TL;DR

AMD's Ryzen 5 5600X3D gaming processor is back on sale for $219.99, bringing 3D V-Cache to AM4 motherboards using DDR4 memory.

AMD's Ryzen 5 5600X3D is available to buy again in the US for $219.99 at Amazon and Micro Center. The chip first appeared as a limited Micro Center exclusive back in 2023 before disappearing from shelves.

The processor drops into existing AM4 motherboards with a BIOS update and works with DDR4 RAM. It packs six Zen 3 cores, a 4.4GHz boost clock, and a 64MB slice of L3 cache. That cache matches the capacity found on the more expensive Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

AMD says it had to respin the older 5800X3D for manufacturing since the original production run ended, which likely explains the sudden stock. AMD has not issued a formal announcement regarding a permanent comeback for the processor. Micro Center describes the chip as offering an unbeatable price point for gaming performance.
