Embark released the Prime Time update for The Finals, identified as patch 1.000.159. The update includes a new Light playstyle called Infiltrator. The loadout provides equipment for tracking foes, blending into surroundings by posing as props, and trading places with items in the arena.
A new 12-player Solo Showdown mode is also available in beta. This mode uses three elimination rounds with randomized mini-modes. Embark is also testing Dynamic Commentary in beta, where the in-game caster responds to matches as they happen.
The update overhauls the destruction system. In-game architecture can now sag, bend, hinge, and deform. Gradual destruction is active across all arenas, and suspended structures now function as swinging objects that hang from physics-enabled attachments.
Several maps received visual and layout changes. Monaco, Seoul, and Skyway Stadium have received remasters. Embark removed the original Las Vegas map and reintroduced the Las Vegas Sandstorm variant. In the Game Show Event rotation, Double Jump replaces Low Gravity.
