Gateholt launches on Steam at $5.94

Developer DOMADOZ released the one to four player co-op horror game Gateholt on Steam on October 23. Players enter haunted locations to complete 14 types of purification tasks, which involve scrubbing bloodstains, erasing wall markings, and burning cursed items.

Cleansing the environment weakens the haunting spirit, but it also increases the entity's aggression and wakes its servants. Teams lack weapons to fight back, forcing players to rely on talismans, items, and cooperation to survive random enemy encounters and fog. Fallen teammates can return to action if a surviving player carries their heart to a Revival Circle.

Successful runs yield earnings for ability upgrades and character customization. The game costs $5.94 with a 15 percent launch discount available until November 6.
