Philips announced the 36M4C5500P, a 36-inch gaming monitor that the company claims is the first of its size to feature a 260Hz overclocked refresh rate. The display uses a 1500R curved Fast VA panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and an Ultra-Wide QHD resolution of 3440 x 1440. Philips says the monitor reaches a 0.3ms MPRT response time and uses Smart MBR Sync technology to manage ghosting and motion blur.

The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and can reach up to 500 nits of peak brightness when displaying HDR content. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 input. Philips also included MultiView functionality, which allows users to view two separate sources at once. The software includes Stark ShadowBoost, Smart Crosshair, and Smart Sniper modes.

The monitor will first become available via select APAC retailers. Philips has not announced pricing or release details for the UK and Europe.
