Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember release set for March 4, 2027

KOEI TECMO and Team NINJA say Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will launch on March 4, 2027. The developers are planning combat changes based on feedback from an Alpha Demo that ran from September 16 to 30, 2026. These changes include simplifying aspects of the Insight Skill system to improve success detection and adjusting the balance of gaining and losing Spirit. Team NINJA also plans to make Martial Arts and Wizardry Spells stronger to encourage more aggressive combat.

The developers say they also plan to improve optimization through graphical upgrades and shorter loading times. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC, and Steam. It will also launch on Xbox Game Pass on its release date.

Pre-orders for the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions are available. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a Season Pass, the Creator God Armor Set, a digital artbook, a digital mini soundtrack, and the Shitieshou Hat. Buyers of any digital or physical copy get the Harvest God Armor Set as an initial reward. Digital pre-orders made by March 4, 2027, will also include the Creator Goddess Garb set. Audio will be available in English and Japanese, and written text will support Spanish, German, Italian, French, and English.
