A portable cracked version of Helldivers 2 is circulating in torrents. Reports say the build uses the Goldberg Steam Emulator and the HellForge project to remove the standard Steam ownership check. According to a Telegram post, this specific torrent version is local-only and does not allow playing with friends. This crack is not affiliated with the creators of HellForge.
Helldivers 2 · official art via IGDBThe HellForge project, created by modder Skye, requires players to own the game via Steam or Family Sharing. The project makes an independent duplicate using the user's files to enable offline sessions with a local server. This version cannot connect to official Arrowhead servers, meaning it lacks the Galactic War and the latest updates. Multiplayer via HellForge only works with Steam contacts sharing identical files and modifications. It does not feature public matchmaking or open lobbies.
Skye says HellForge supports mods that change stats, add weapons or stratagems, and increase difficulty beyond the official limit. Users already showed off difficulty 11 featuring numerous goals per run. Additionally, the software features a built-in editor alongside mod creation utilities.
This development follows Arrowhead's October 20 switch from GameGuard to Easy Anti-Cheat in patch 7.2, Devoid of Liberty. Developers explained that the older protection failed adequately, while unauthorized modifications grew prevalent. While cosmetic mods still work, scripted mods and interface mods previously broke following the switch.
