This setting builds on the toughest regular difficulty option by enforcing a single-save system and modifying encounters. Dying does not end a playthrough, instead dropping players back onto standard Tactician difficulty.
Another addition is the Archives, a large dungeon set within an ancient elven library. It includes puzzles, battles, and lore tied to the chronomancer Thevyre. Character progression expands across multiple classes. Rogues gain a three-turn invisibility skill called Wraith, Pyromancers receive Chainfire Blast for bouncing fireballs, and Engineers get Wildcard surfaces that randomly mimic other terrain effects. Ocelot Technologies targets a total of more than 200 skills for the full launch.
Players can currently purchase the game at a 20 percent discount during a Steam Early Access sale, and a free demo remains available.
