Until Dawn 2 gameplay reveal scheduled for December 11 event

Sony will host a special event at Alamo Drafthouse on December 11 to reveal gameplay for Until Dawn 2 and introduce the official cast. Attendees can also meet the game's developers and special guest stars, according to Sony.

Developed by Firesprite, the sequel takes place on Akashima, an isolated, deserted island. Players follow a team of content creators and ghost hunters known as Dead True International. Sony says the "butterfly effect" mechanic is returning, where player choices shape relationships and determine which characters live or die.

The game launches January 28, 2027, as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Sony has already completed a series of character spotlights for the Dead True team on PlayStation and Firesprite social channels.
