Ubisoft and at least two other unnamed gaming companies have submitted bids to acquire Arkane Studios, according to Jason Schreier. Microsoft is looking to divest the Dishonored developer as part of a larger restructuring effort. Microsoft has also weighed a potential buyout by the developer's own leaders, although no final deal is in place yet.
An Xbox representative stated that leadership is reviewing various paths prior to a December cutoff while declining to directly address the report. If a sale occurs, development on Marvel's Blade, which was announced in 2023, would likely continue without interruption. The game is expected to launch within the next 24 months.
