Activision confirms new Call of Duty sub-series

Activision chief marketing officer Tyler Bahl confirmed a new sub-series is coming to Call of Duty. Bahl told The Game Business that the community wanted a tonal shift after five years of back to back Black Ops and Modern Warfare titles. Modern Warfare 4 launches in just over a week. Treyarch recently teased a project that nobody has experienced before. Sledgehammer Games is reportedly handling the 2027 title, which may be the new sub-series.
