Microsoft launches Xbox Labs to study AI modding and ports

Microsoft formed Xbox Labs to experiment with AI-driven development. The move follows a surge in AI-powered projects, including browser-based versions of Call of Duty and PlayStation 5 ports via AnyPS5. Some modders used Claude Opus 5.5 to remix source code or port Windows builds to Apple Silicon.
