Micro Center has updated many of its GeForce RTX 5090 listings with "not carried" labels, a status that indicates the retailer will not restock these models. This follows reports from Reddit users who shared screenshots of the new labels. While Micro Center customer support says they have not received information on when or if they will be restocked, they stated they are working to obtain additional inventory.
These retail changes align with rumors from leakers that Nvidia has ceased RTX 5090 production. These leakers claim Nvidia is directing the GB202 die toward higher-margin RTX Pro-series cards rather than consumer graphics cards. Nvidia has not issued an official statement to confirm or deny these claims.
Availability is already shifting in other regions. Reports say RTX 5090 prices in the UK have risen to between £5,000 and £5,999, with the lowest priced models sitting above £5,300. This is significantly higher than the original MSRP of approximately £1,799.
At B&H, customer support says they expect to receive more stock but currently have no ETAs for the cards. B&H web pages currently mark the items as temporarily unavailable. B&H also noted that if the card is discontinued, units may still be available through distribution channels until they sell out.
