A planned current-generation Assassin's Creed game titled Destiny has been scrapped, according to reports. The project was being developed by Tencent subsidiary TiMi Studio Group. While the mobile title Assassin's Creed Jade is set in 215 BCE, reports say Destiny would have taken place in 206 BCE during the Qin Dynasty.
Leaked footage and screenshots appear to come from a February 2025 prototype. This material shows gameplay involving stealth kills, a leap of faith, and a mission where an assassin attempts to secure an artifact from Xiang Yu. The footage also shows a character using an umbrella as a weapon.
Reports say the cancellation happened following a January 2025 restructuring at TiMi Studio Group. Other projects reportedly cancelled during this period include a Greek mythology action game called Athena and a cyberpunk open-world title called Invictus. Ubisoft continues to develop Assassin's Creed Jade for mobile, though it does not have a release date.
