TL;DR

Intel says Razor Lake-AX processors will arrive in 2028 and aim for up to 700 TOPS of AI performance.

Intel executive Cho Min-sung confirmed the 2028 launch window for Razor Lake-AX processors during the Semiconductors Powering Humanoids conference in South Korea. Intel says these chips aim to achieve up to 700 TOPS of AI performance. This figure is nearly four times the combined 180 TOPS theoretical capacity of the current Panther Lake platform.

The company plans to release the Nova Lake architecture in early 2027 before the Razor Lake-AX launch. Intel anticipates that production for the first commercial autonomous mobile robots using its platforms will start in 2027. These systems would then move toward humanoid applications using Razor Lake-AX in 2028.

While the 700 TOPS figure is a significant increase over the 275 TOPS of the Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin, Intel has not specified what numerical precision it uses to measure that performance. Previous leaks suggest Razor Lake-AX may include integrated memory, expanded memory bandwidth, and between 16 and 32 Xe3P architecture graphics cores.
