TL;DR
Leaker KeplerL2 claims Sony's RAM and NAND costs for the PlayStation 6 have risen to over $680.
Leaker KeplerL2 claims Sony's memory costs for the PlayStation 6, covering both RAM and NAND, are now over $680. These costs do not include the console's GPU, CPU, or other components. KeplerL2 previously stated in the summer that the PlayStation 6 bill of materials had reached almost $1,000.
If RAM and NAND prices do not fall before the PlayStation 6 launches, the console will likely cost more than $1,000. Reports say the retail price will likely exceed the PlayStation 5 Pro by a significant margin. While prior leaks say the system can support up to 40GB of GDDR7 memory, many believe the console will ship with 30GB of GDDR7. This would provide 87.5% more memory than the PlayStation 5.
