AMD Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 reportedly features 8 cores and 16 CU graphics

A leak from Golden Pig Upgrade on Weibo suggests AMD is preparing a new Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 mobile APU. This chip is part of the Gorgon Point family and sits above the Ryzen AI 7 450. Reports say the processor will feature 8 cores and 16 threads.

The leaked specs include a 16 CU iGPU, which Golden Pig Upgrade says is reportedly identical to the Radeon 890M found in the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme. The chip is expected to have 24 MB of L3 cache. While the exact core breakdown is unknown, the leaker alludes to a CCD layout similar to the Z2 Extreme, which uses three Zen 5 cores and five Zen 5c cores across two CCDs.
