CD Projekt RED co-CEO Michał Nowakowski says the studio has completed the "world vision" phase for its new IP, Hadar, and is now creating small prototypes to test gameplay elements in Unreal Engine. Nowakowski describes the project as the studio's biggest undertaking to date.

The game is not yet in pre-production, but Nowakowski says the team has established the foundations and key pillars for the world and its elements. A job listing at the studio describes Hadar as an "emotional, open-world experience." Nowakowski says the studio intends to continue making games within its established genre.

The project currently has more than 30 developers. CD Projekt RED vice president of investor relations Karolina Gnaś says the studio plans to hire up to 50 developers by the end of 2026. Hadar is an entirely original intellectual property for the studio.
