Ravenwood Academy demo launches with 45 minutes of gameplay

KingsIsle Entertainment released a playable demo for Ravenwood Academy: A Wizard101 Story on Steam. The demo runs from October 19 through October 26, 2026, as part of Steam Next Fest.

The single-player life simulation game acts as a prequel to the Wizard101 MMORPG. Players step into the role of a transfer student arriving from Dragonspyre to attend a magical school. Strange incidents disrupt classes, which drives the narrative forward.

The demo features approximately 30 to 45 minutes of gameplay. It includes two investigations designed to introduce mystery-solving mechanics. Participants search for hints, question people, and review proof regarding nighttime property damage on campus. Familiar characters appear, such as professors Dalia Falmea and Halston Balestrom.

In the full game, players will build friendships and interact with other returning figures from the franchise. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
