Valve says its new Steam Achievement Sets let developers split game achievements into independently tracked and visually distinct categories. The update aims to stop post-launch DLC, expansions, and seasons from breaking completion percentages for players who already finished a game. Developers create and dictate the specific categories themselves.
Alongside this feature, Valve says the main achievements page has been updated with a cleaner interface, new toggles, and additional filters. The system is available right now on the beta branch as of October 19, 2026.
