The card includes a four-fan cooler, dual BIOS, safety fuses, display connectors featuring gold plating, and Swarovski crystals. It occupies more than three expansion slots and uses a white design with RGB lighting. While NVIDIA specifies a 360-watt TGP for the RTX 5080, GALAX has not confirmed the final TGP for this model or whether both power connectors are used simultaneously.
In separate news, a leaker claims NVIDIA has set discontinuation dates for both the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 for the first half of January 2027. The source claims the last RTX 5090 shipments arrived in September and the final RTX 5080 batch should arrive by the end of October to sell through Thanksgiving. A retailer system reportedly contains a placeholder SKU for an RTX 5080 24 GB. NVIDIA SVP Jeff Fisher previously denied that the RTX 5090 was discontinued, stating the card will keep shipping.
