Battlefield 6 · official art via IGDBDICE shared details for the Battlefield 6 Season 5 roadmap during a Discord Q&A. Platoons are scheduled to arrive in Season 5 Phase 3 and will include a name, tag, and description. Playing with a platoon will provide an XP bonus.
Map reworks for Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City are also planned for Season 5 Phase 3. While DICE has completed a balance pass on the Minigun and Railgun, broader gunplay adjustments for traditional multiplayer and REDSEC are planned for Season 5 Phase 2.
DICE says proximity chat will arrive in Rapid Royale soon for testing and telemetry collection, though more work is required before it reaches multiplayer. PC users will not receive a way to turn off crossplay anytime soon. The studio also confirmed it will not add Actuated Module attachments that decrease weapon kick or quicken target acquisition. Additional information regarding content planned beyond Season 5 is expected early in the new year.
