TL;DR
Reports say the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme shows initial performance on Linux using the Ubuntu 26.10 X1E Concept ISO.
Preliminary Linux benchmarks for the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme are available via remote testing on an ASUS Zenbook A16 UX3607OA. The laptop uses the X2E96100 SoC with 18 cores, 48GB of LPDDR5-9523 MT/s memory, a 5.0GHz single-core boost frequency, and a multi-core max frequency of up to 4.4GHz. Reports say the chip has a 20W to 40W TDP for standard designs or up to 65W for the CPU under sustained workloads.
Testing used the Ubuntu 26.10 X1E Concept ISO on Linux 7.3. While the Adreno graphics worked with the open-source Qualcomm driver stack, WiFi, audio, and the web camera are not yet supported out-of-the-box. These benchmarks are preliminary, as some tests did not run successfully and no power monitoring was possible during the testing.
