The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother launches March 18, 2027

Koei Tecmo and developer Gust, in collaboration with TOHO, announced that The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother will launch on March 18, 2027. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The game features an original story where Maomao investigates the Five Mysteries and Five Curses. During select parts, users can take charge of Jinshi or a cat version of Maomao instead of just the main protagonist. Jinshi applies his authority to interview characters, whereas feline Maomao accesses high spots, listens to private chats, and uncovers proof. Players will also control the Quack Doctor and Luomen during medicine-making minigames.

A Digital Deluxe Edition will be available including additional costumes for Maomao and Jinshi and accessories for Cat Maomao. Digital pre-orders placed by March 17, 2027, will receive the Apothecary's Tasteful Accessory Pack. Furthermore, anyone acquiring a physical or digital version prior to March 31, 2027, obtains an early purchase reward featuring the Apothecary's Starter Kit and Modest Accessory Pack.
