Bulkhead Studios has begun a process to control regions in WARDOGS by limiting the maximum ping on a server to 175. The developer is using this method to shield the majority of users from areas where dishonest gameplay is more frequent.

CEO Joe Brammer says the studio is essentially harming a percentage of players to protect the larger group. Brammer described the region-locking as a temporary measure while the team works on solutions for global players. Players with a ping higher than 175 will not be able to join servers. Reports say the decision has been controversial, with some players complaining they can no longer play with friends in different countries or continents.
