Halloween: The Game releases Tower Farm update with new map and characters
TL;DR
Illfonic released the Tower Farm update for Halloween: The Game, which adds a new map, two playable Civilians, and a new starting weapon.
Illfonic and Gun Interactive released the Tower Farm update, patch 1.020, for Halloween: The Game on October 27. The update adds the Tower Farm map, a location inspired by Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. This map includes cornfields, barns, a trailer park, a harvest festival, and a pumpkin patch. Players can also use sewer hatches as a new escape route.
Halloween: The Game · official art via IGDBThe update introduces the Scythe as a starting weapon. Players can unlock it by completing Scythe Progressive Challenges or by purchasing the 1989 Michael skin. Two new playable Civilians, Eugene Kelly and Michelle Blanton, have joined the roster. Eugene features a Lurker trait that increases stamina regeneration and stalk degradation while hiding in bushes. Michelle has a Therapeutic trait that heals nearby wounded Civilians and Residents for 25% of a health item's application amount when she uses one.
Illfonic changed how players discover targets. Resident and Special Target areas are no longer marked for Civilians at the start of a match. Instead, these areas are revealed based on player proximity, and persuading each resident expands discovery reach while flagging a Special Target until all are flagged. Michael reveals targets based on Bloodthirst tiers. At Tier 1, one random Resident area is revealed. At Tier 2, 50% of Resident areas and one Special target area are marked. At Tier 3, all remaining areas and Special Target beams are revealed. Michael also receives buffs to damage, Bloodthirst gain, damage resistance, and status effect resistance when surrounded by three or more targets.
The update includes PC and Console cross-play matchmaking toggles. Additionally, the Pickaxe no longer inflicts the Dazed status effect, and the duration of Dazed has been reduced. Players can earn the Jack Ghoul Goggles Civilian cosmetic by smashing 50 pumpkins with weapons by November 3 at 10 AM PT. Paid DLCs are also available, including two Michael skins and a Civilian costume pack.
