Death Stranding Isolations animated series announced for 2027

Kojima Productions announced Death Stranding Isolations, an original animated series set in the Death Stranding universe. Disney platforms will debut the show in 2027. The studio released a teaser trailer for the project during its 10th anniversary celebration in Tokyo.

The story takes place in North America shortly after Sam reconnects the continent using the Chiral Network. The developer notes that these restored links create unexpected trouble while the nation recovers. Its narrative centers on a youth whose mother died from the cataclysm, leading her to seek solitude until fate intervenes. Other characters include a wise old man, a female soldier, and a boy.

Takayuki Sano is directing the series, which features hand-drawn animation produced by E&H Production. Hideo Kojima is the executive producer. An exact release date for the series has not been announced.
