Reports say Nintendo Switch 2 emulation has progressed to the point where titles such as Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Splatoon Raiders are reportedly running on PC and Mac. This follows a firmware dump made possible by a webkit exploit. A researcher used an extraction tool from Kurumuz and a separate method to extract decrypted game files for Mario Kart World and other titles.

While Nintendo delisted SmileBASIC 4 from the eShop, developer Gezine says other methods to trigger the exploit may exist through the game Artemis Engine or via physical game cartridges.
Other developments for the console include a user showcasing YouTube running on the device via the open-source VacuumTube project, according to X user @byizmysh. While the first jailbreak is a tethered exploit, reports say an untethered exploit is being developed. Additionally, some Walmart locations in the U.S. have displayed Zelda-edition Switch 2 consoles ahead of the October 29 launch. Centro LEAKS says that while games are running, many fixes and more work remain for the emulator.
