The trial is available to all Xbox users until January 7, 2027, but PlayStation users must have a PS Plus Premium or Deluxe subscription to access it. The PlayStation trial runs until October 29, 2027. This five-hour period begins upon the first launch and can only be used once per account. While players cannot restart the trial once the time expires, progress carries over if they purchase the full game. The trial includes the base game only and does not include content from the Charting the Unknown expansion.

Reports say Crimson Desert sold over 6 million copies in three months. Following these sales, Pearl Abyss reportedly gave each employee a $3,400 bonus.
