Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls adds Phoenix Cyclops on November 2

Arc System Works released a video detailing the skills for Phoenix Cyclops, the first DLC character for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. He arrives on November 2 for Year 1 Character and Stage Pass holders.

His Optic Blast beam allows players to increase damage, deflect shots off the ground, or dodge incoming attacks. Using this move can also collect Solar Shards to trigger his Dark Phoenix form. This form adds Surging Flame to attacks, which allows Cyclops to move in a specific direction after a hit at the cost of some health. This mechanic can be used with other skills like Heat Wave, Tactical Strike, and Phoenix Dive. Once the Dark Phoenix transformation ends, Solar Shards cannot be collected for the rest of that round. Cyclops then enters the Ashen State, which retains most of his standard capabilities.

His Ultimate Skill, Dark Ascension, changes based on specific conditions. Using it after collecting all Solar Shards triggers the Dark Phoenix transformation. Using it without all shards results in an immediate attack and a transition to the Ashen State. If used while already in the Dark Phoenix form, the skill deals more damage. Arc System Works says Thor (Jane Foster), Venom, and Jubilee will follow him as DLC.
