OpenMouse beta adds customization for Logitech, Razer, SteelSeries, and Wooting keyboards
TL;DR
OpenMouse says its new beta release adds keyboard customization support for Logitech, Razer, SteelSeries, and Wooting models.
The OpenMouse beta release now includes customization support for gaming keyboards from Logitech, Razer, SteelSeries, and Wooting, according to the development team. Support for Wuque Studio and the Kochi Hummingbird 68 is reportedly in development.
The planned feature set includes RGB customization, layers, profiles, and Hall Effect options covering DKS, SOCD, mod taps, toggle keys, rapid triggers, and custom actuation points. Key remapping is currently not available. While the OpenMouse Bridge app allows custom per-game profiles for compatible mice, the team plans to add this functionality for keyboards later.
The implementation is still in beta. Reports say a test with a Wooting 80HE showed the app could connect to the device but failed to adjust settings or load the correct keymap. The development team is asking users to participate in the beta test, though they have not stated when keyboard support will leave the beta phase.
