TL;DR

Logitech says its new MX Master 4 Developer Edition features a unique design for programmers but uses the same hardware as the standard model.

Logitech has announced a Developer Edition of its MX Master 4 mouse. The company says the special edition is a tribute to developers. It is available for pre-order for $119.99 or €129.99, with shipping starting October 30.

Internally, the device is unchanged from the base model. It includes an 8,000 DPI sensor, a MagSpeed scroll wheel capable of 1,000 lines per second, and a 650 mAh battery providing up to 70 days of use. The mouse also features USB-C quick charging, multi-device pairing, and a side button with haptic feedback.

The differences are purely visual. The edition uses a two-tone dark and light gray casing with bright green accents. Logitech has added laser-etched syntax annotations, such as markup tags and circuit traces, along with a Hello World phrase. Other etched details include "0xFF + 1" for Programmers' Day, "09.17" for the Linux kernel release date, and "04.01" for World Backup Day. Logitech says this limited edition is available only while supplies last.
