TL;DR

Nvidia released the GeForce/RTX Spark Hotfix Driver v621.12 to fix video freezes and black screens on RTX 50 series GPUs and RTX Spark systems.

Nvidia released the GeForce/RTX Spark Hotfix Driver v621.12 on October 27. The update addresses reports that video playback could freeze or cause black screens on some GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and RTX Spark systems after updating to driver 621.01. Nvidia says the driver also fixes an issue where Unreal Engine 5.8 may crash when using Hit Lighting in ray tracing mode. While the video issues mostly affect Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, the Unreal Engine bug impacts other RTX GPUs.

The 621.12 hotfix is based on the 621.01 Game Ready Driver and includes its game optimizations. Because this version did not undergo the standard validation process, it lacks WHQL certification, Nvidia says. The driver is available for Windows 10, Windows 11 (x64), and Windows 11 (ARM64).
