Walmart is handing out 519 USD in gift cards to customers whose Nintendo Switch 2 Legend of Zelda edition pre-orders were cancelled. Sales tracker Wario64 reports that buyers are receiving the apology payout alongside full refunds or reversed charges. The compensation includes a 500 USD gift card confirmed in a second email.
The cancelled hardware is tied to the upcoming launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, which arrives exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. Pre-orders remain live across retailers and the Nintendo eShop for players still looking to secure a system.
