Art of Play and Roditeli Productions announced Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure: Arcade, a side-scrolling action game headed to PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. Developer Art of Play plans a crowdfunding campaign on Backerit in February 2027, while final launch timing remains unannounced.
The game draws on the 1989 movie and features 15 levels built with 16-bit pixel art and an 80s rock soundtrack. Players can choose between solo play as Bill or Ted or team up for couch cooperative multiplayer. Progression through story mode unlocks arcade mode and extra mini-games.
Players will travel through time to collect historical figures for a history report and save the world. Confirmed figures include Billy the Kid, Socrates, Napoleon, Beethoven, and Genghis Khan. Players must challenge these characters in unique mini-games to win their help.
