Stronghold 4 Early Access delayed to April 20, 2027

Firefly Studios says Stronghold 4 will arrive in Early Access on April 20, 2027. The studio is moving the release to avoid the holiday schedule and to allow more time to polish the game and address feedback regarding the free-build and skirmish missions shown during Next Fest.

The delay means the economic campaign, which was originally intended for a later update, will be available when Early Access begins. Nick Tannahill, head of Firefly Studios, states that players can expect a story campaign, free build options, a skirmish trail, and custom skirmishes as well. The game is planned for PC via Steam only, and Firefly Studios has not announced a date for the full release.

A free demo is currently available on Steam. It features free build, moats, a late-game unit, and wool and weaving production chains.
