Nvidia launched a free interactive experience on Steam named "GeForce 8800 GTX - 20 Years of a Legend" to honor the two-decade anniversary of the iconic graphics card. The software was built by Dylan Browne using Unreal Engine and is not a complete game. Users can explore a vintage gaming space, unbox the classic hardware, and mount it into a computer to experience Crysis.

The application incorporates advanced features such as path tracing, DLSS 4.5, Ray Reconstruction, Mega Geometry, and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. Due to these demanding graphical settings, the system requirements specify a minimum of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 and 32 GB of memory, with an RTX 5080 recommended. The installation requires 30 GB of space, and the download size is about 11.3 GB.

The original card debuted on November 8, 2006, with a price tag of roughly £480. It utilized the G80 chip, which contained 681 million transistors, 128 stream processors, a 384-bit interface, and 768 MB of GDDR3 memory. The demo is expected to arrive on GeForce NOW Ultimate in the future.
