Resident Evil Veronica is reportedly delayed to fall 2027, according to insider Dusk Golem. The remake was originally targeted for a release in the first quarter of 2027, then adjusted to the middle of the year prior to the autumn delay. Dusk Golem claims Capcom could have released the game sooner but chose to spend more time addressing small and medium issues.

Reports say this feedback involved the game's narrative, semi-open world environments, and certain gameplay segments. This same feedback has also reportedly affected the development timeline for the Resident Evil Requiem story DLC.
Capcom originally planned to release a new trailer for Resident Evil Veronica, but those plans were delayed due to changes in internal schedules, according to Dusk Golem. The remake was announced in June 2026 at Summer Game Fest. It is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
